Colorful, dramatic, beautiful and artistic. The Parade of Nations category is where the Miss Universe candidates are given the chance to bear their national costumes that make them distinctive among their fellow contestants.
Their costumes represent their pride, their history and their arts. Through the dresses of more than 80 candidates, we can truly comprehend what the candidates are trying to express. Through the piece of cloth and design they are bearing, we can understand the contestant’s historical values.
The national costume show was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 16, 2010. The Miss Universe 2010 pageant will take place on August 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bearing, grace, artistry and design are the factors to be considered in choosing the Best in National Costume. Plus the overall charm of the ladies wearing their dresses and giving justice to it. The national costumes were designed by the famous designers in their native land. Who among the 83 ladies will truly stand out among the rest and bag the award and distinction as this year’s Miss Universe 2010 Best in National Costume?

All the candidates are equally beautiful in their respective national costume. Each one has the right to be crowned as Miss Universe 2010. Of course, I’m rooting for our very own Venus Raj. It’s more than 3 decades to be exact it’s 37 yrs. ago when we last won the crown in the person of Margie Moran. Let’s pray that Venus win the crown to end a very long title drought.
